How to add a provider to TouchCare

Invite a provider to TouchCare so they are prompted to download TouchCare and begin participating in video calls with their patients.

Providers tab > Add Provider

The Provider Invite screen has two options: Quick Invite and Complete Invite.

Quick Invite is a time-efficient option for the administrator. You enter minimal information (provider's name and email address) before sending the invitation. TouchCare sends an email to the provider inviting them to "accept" the invitation, register for TouchCare online and then download TouchCare to their device. The additional step of registration may result in some providers abandoning participation.

Complete Invite requires a bit more time for the administrator to complete but speeds provider onboarding since you are kindly completing registraiton on their behalf. The form requires the personal, contact and professional information necessary for the provider to use TouchCare.

After you submit the invitation, the provider is sent an email inviting them to download and begin using TouchCare. See below for an example.

How to send a complete invite

In the "Complete Invite" tab, complete the fields:

  1. First Name, Last Name: Provider's formal name
  2. Title: Type a letter to trigger the dropdown, select the appropriate title.
  3. Gender: Provider's specified gender
  4. Message: Optional. Leave the default message or type a new one
  5. City, State, Zip Code: Provider's professional location
  6. Phone Number for Colleagues: Phone number that professional colleagues can call to reach provider
  7. Phone Number for Patients: Phone number that patients can call to reach provider/provider's office
  8. Email: Provider's professional email address
  9. State Licenses: U.S. states in which the provider is licensed. Type the first letter of the state to trigger a dropdown then select the appropriate state. Repeat for each state the provider is licensed in. Click the white x to remove any added in error.
  10. Specialities: Add the specialities the provider offers. Type the first letter of the specialty to trigger a dropdown then select the appropriate specialty. Repeat for each specialty the provider offers. Click the white x to remove any added in error.
  11. Degrees: Add the degress the provider has earned. Type the first letter of the degree to trigger a dropdown then select the appropriate degree. Repeat for each degree the provider has earned. Click the white x to remove any added in error.
  12. Admin?:  If the provider will administer TouchCare from the dashboard for your practice, check the box.
  13. Click "Invite"

The invitation email  is sent to the provider (see example below). After they download the app to their device and log in, they are prompted to change their password and review their profile. After they log in they are also added to your provider list and can be scheduled in appointments.

How to send a quick invite

In the "Quick Invite" tab, complete the fields:

  1. First Name, Last Name: The provider's formal name
  2. Email: the provider's professional email address
  3. Message: Optional. Leave the default message or type a new one
  4. Admin?:  If the provider will administer TouchCare from the dashboard for your practice, check the box.
  5. Click "Invite"

The invitation email  is sent to the provider (see example below). After they download the app to their device and log in, they are prompted to change their password and complete their profile.

The Tab key moves to the next field or button. The Enter key selects the field or button that is highlighted.
